ASIAN GINGER SALAD DRESSING

*Note: this is a copycat recipe and tastes just like Shogun's salad dressing and is very similar to most Asian restaurant's ginger salad dressing.


1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup peanut or vegetable oil
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
2 T. water
2 T. minced fresh ginger root
2 T. minced celery
2 T. ketchup
4 t. soy sauce
2 t. white sugar
2 t. lemon juice
1/2 t. minced garlic
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. ground black pepper

In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds or until all of the ingredients are smooth. Place in an air tight container and keep refrigerated. Use within 1 week.
